R|MILLER Inc worked on behalf of the Service Employees International Union to perform a complete re-face of the historic four-story 215 Columbia building. A designated historic landmark, the property required special consideration throughout the construction process. Our work included interior demolition, renovation of existing retail and office spaces, and extensive electrical, HVAC and plumbing up­grades. The building’s theater was converted into a contemporary auditorium, and existing materials and assemblies still in premium condition were utilized throughout the project to reduce waste, minimize project costs, and maximize client savings. The tenant has since selected R|MILLER for ongoing improvements that were not included in the original scope of work.
