R|MILLER Inc converted a 64,000-square-foot call center into a multi-tenant high-tech facility which houses FAA-certified Rockwell Collins. Building interiors were demolished and the inside reconfigured by adding rated corridors and new stairwells between floors. Our work on the building’s common areas and general upgrades led to collaboration with both the building owner and tenants to perform other improvements to their spaces that were outside their lease agreements. Scope included demo, casework, glass walls, new doors and hardware, new partitions, demising walls, finishes, acoustical ceilings, acoustical clouds, fire sprinkler upgrades and reconfigurations, plumbing to break rooms and kitchenettes, reworked mechanical system, electrical upgrades, new distribution of power, lighting upgrades, generator, fire alarm system upgrades, and security provisions. Work within the 16,000-square-foot Rockwell Collins space included the installation of a UPS system and coordination with Homeland Security.
